Apple has announced new 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air laptops.

At a starting price of $999, the new 11-inch MacBook Air has a 1.7GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 processor (Turbo Boost up to 2.6GHz with 3MB shared L3 cache), 4GB of 1600MHz DDR3L onboard memory, a built to order option of 8GB of onboard memory and 64GB or 128GB of flash storage. It also has an Intel HD Graphics 4000 processor. Battery life is estimated at 5 hours.

At a starting price of $1,199, the new 13-inch MacBook Air has a 1.8GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 processor (Turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz with 4MB shared L3 cache), 4GB of 1600MHz DDR3L onboard memory, a built-to-order option of 8GB of onboard memory and 128GB or 256GB of flash storage. It also has an Intel HD Graphics 4000 processor. Battery life is estimated at 7 hours.

Both models include a Thunderbolt port, two USB 3.0 ports, a 720p FaceTime HD camera, a multi-touch trackpad, a full size backlit keyboard and an LED backlit glossy widescreen display. The 13-inch model also includes an SD card slot.
